🔼 New Squad. The men’s soccer team has a final roster! The Chanticleers have 20 new faces on the team. Here’s what head coach Adam Perron said about the team:
“I believe we found 20 guys who will be the core of a strong resurgence to the top of the Sun Belt Conference and beyond in the fall of 2026. These players bring a high level of ability, character, and personality while adding immense value to our program and the CCU campus community. I am very eager to develop and deploy this group in competition to watch them grow and flourish as players and people while competing immediately for a national championship."

🔼 Different Type of Work. The men’s basketball team worked with the local Habitat for Humanity organization.

National Title Defended. Former Chanticleer Melissa Jefferson-Wooden defended her national title in the 200m at the Toyota USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships.

🔼 Welcome! The softball team added four new players to its 2026 roster. Emory Donaldson is a transfer from Kentucky. She appeared in 152 games during her collegiate career, recording 67 hits, 13 doubles, six triples, one home run, 56 runs scored and 28 RBIs. Maddie Cavenaugh is a transfer from Slippery Rock. Last season, she recorded 53 runs, 12 home runs and 48 RBIs during the season. Madison Primm is a transfer from Lenoir-Rhyne. She posted a .365 career batting average across 172 games, recording 198 hits, 133 runs, 30 doubles, two triples, 45 home runs and 147 RBIs. Reganne Bennett is a transfer from South Carolina. She appeared in 45 games during her collegiate career, recording 16 hits, four doubles, six runs, 17 RBIs and five home runs.
