🔼 Weekly Honor. Football player Deuce Bailey was named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week. He is the first Chant to earn the honor since 2024. In the season opener against West Virginia, he completed 21-of-37 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. Bailey led the Sun Belt in passing yards and total offense (392 yards) in Week 1, while tying for the conference lead in touchdown passes.

🔼 Top Tier. Volleyball player Kaylee Musick was named the Sun Belt Conference Setter of the Week. Musick averaged 8.38 assists and 1.92 digs per set while helping the Chanticleers post a 2-1 record at the Dolphin Volleyball Classic. She recorded two double-doubles during the tournament.

🔼 Titles Won. The men’s golf team had a fantastic outing at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate. The Chants won the overall title with a score of 835 (-29). Drew Sykes and Jack Lee tied for first place individually with scores of 204 (-12). Waymon Thomas followed tied for 17th place with a score of 213 (-3).

🔼 Top 10. The women’s golf team finished in seventh place at the Golfweek Fall Invitational. Coastal had a final score of 874 (+22). Celeste Mangeat led the team tied for 10th place individually. She had a score of 215 (+2). Carla Bourdeaux followed tied for 30th place with a score of 219 (+6).

Welcome! The men’s basketball team added Drew Fuquay to the 2026-27 roster.

🔼 Remembering You. Today, we are remembering longtime coach, administrator and Hall of Famer Jess Dannelly who recently passed away. Dannelly spent more than four decades with Coastal Carolina. He started working with the Chants in 1984. He was the softball head coach from 1988-2009. One of his biggest accomplishments was compiling 669 victories during his 22 seasons as the head coach. Coastal captured six Big South Conference regular-season championships and five Big South tournament titles while advancing to four NCAA Tournaments in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2006.
