🔼 Head Coach Update. The baseball team named Chris Lemonis the new head coach. Lemonis is the seventh head baseball coach in Coastal Carolina University history. He is a Myrtle Beach native, Socastee High School graduate and national championship-winning coach. Lemonis has been part of 18 NCAA Tournament appearances and five College World Series trips. As a head coach, he has guided his programs to six NCAA Tournament appearances, two College World Series appearances and more than 370 victories.

All-American. Baseball player Darin Horn was named a Perfect Game Second Team All-American. Horn made 31 appearances in 2026 for the Chanticleers. He recorded seven saves and a 3.21 ERA over 67.1 innings pitched.

Horn had an 8-2 record and struck out ## batters.

🔼 New Staff. The women’s basketball team named Veronika Roberts the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations. Roberts spent the last two seasons as the graduate assistant coach at Columbus State University. She worked as the post coach and oversaw academics, managers, and practice players while assisting with day-to-day program operations, recruiting efforts, travel coordination, creative content, and community engagement initiatives. As a player, she competed at Bradley University and the University of West Florida.
