🔼 Headed to the Pros. The baseball team had three players selected in the 2026 MLB Draft. Cameron Flukey was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the No. 22 overall pick in the first round. Flukey is the highest MLB Draft pick in Coastal Carolina baseball history, and the third first-round selection in program history. Ross Norman was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round with the No. 320 overall pick. He made 16 starts on the mound and struck out 65 batters. Darin Horn was chosen by the Chicago White Sox in the 16th round with the No. 465 overall selection. He finished the 2026 season with an 8-2 record, seven saves and a 3.21 ERA across 31 appearances. CCU has now had at least one player selected in the MLB Draft in 30 consecutive years, dating back to 1997. This is one of the nation’s longest active streaks.

On the Green. The men’s golf team released its 2026-27 schedule. The Chanticleers will compete in 10 tournaments.

🔼 Fall Schedule. The women’s soccer team announced its 2026 fall schedule. The Chanticleers will play 19 regular-season matches, including 10 contests at the CCU Soccer Complex, along with one preseason exhibition. Coastal will open the regular season at home against Charleston Southern on Aug. 13. Sun Belt Conference action being on the road at Louisiana on Sept. 20. The 2026 SBC Championship is scheduled to begin on Nov. 9 in Foley, Ala.
